The PowerGrit system requires less excavation because access is only required from one side to make the cut. Further, excavation below the bottom of the pipe is not required. Estimate how much time it would save you to not excavate both sides of the pipe as well as excavating below the bottom of the pipe. We estimate 30-45 minutes.
In a conventional process, extensive hand digging must be done to open a window around the pipe large enough for an operator with a cutoff saw to make the cut. Not so with PowerGrit. Only a small window under each cut is necessary to make the cut. Estimate the time saved by not having to perform this extensive amount of additional hand digging. We estimate 10-15 minutes.
PowerGrit allows the operator to make a single, straight pass through the pipe. Conventional methods require multiple cuts from around the entire pipe, taking more time to make the cut, as well as any after cut work to make the cut straight. Estimate time savings here. We estimate 3-5 minutes.
